The cotton swab is not easy to be broken. Usually, the cotton swab after taking the chemical sample needs to be broken and put into the test tube. After ultrasonic or shock treatment, the cotton swab should be adjusted for volume, and then tested and analyzed.
If so, the question arises.
When you actually break or cut, do you pay attention to the location of the break?

If the position is different, then the size of the swab in the test tube is different, then the dilution ratio after constant volume is different.
