Dust free and antistatic Cotton Swab is a cotton swab produced from polyester material. It has low nonvolatile residue (NVR), less particle shedding and chemical resistance. By analyzing the total organic carbon (TOC), it is found that the cotton swab woven with purified polyester material can release less particles, has good recoverability, and the background level of total organic carbon is low.
Materials used for handle production include polypropylene, nylon, glass nylon, glass polypropylene, wood or styrene. The handle length of the cotton swab (7-25cm) and the shape and size of the cotton swab (from 4mm to above 16mm) shall be determined according to the specific requirements. The handle can also be slotted to facilitate breaking.
The absorption capacity of cotton swabs varies from product to product, and there are various packaging forms, such as anti-static discharge packaging and packaging meeting the requirements of clean room. Pharmaceutical factories and those environments that use "current" GMP management require the use of sterile cotton swabs. Some cotton swabs are made of non adhesive materials.
There is a special way to wet the swab head and prevent the residue from spreading out and entering the surrounding surface due to excessive liquid on the swab head. Technical errors can lead to contradictory results. Cotton swabs need to be soaked rather than thoroughly soaked. For the small bottles and cotton swabs that have been pre cleaned, the TOC background of the solution shall not exceed 10ppb, and the TOC background of the cotton swab shall not exceed 50ppb.
Use cotton swabs for confirmation and cleaning. Technicians use cotton swabs to wipe only one square inch area for surface confirmation. People often break the handle of these cotton swabs, so that the cotton swabs can be put into a container containing solution to extract particles from the cotton swabs.
