Specific uses of virus sampling tube:
1. Virus sampling tubes are generally used for nucleic acid extraction and later virus isolation of influenza virus, hand, foot and mouth virus, rubella virus and other samples from clinical patients. The amount of liquid required is usually 35m or 5m( (to be used with nucleic acid detection kit and spore culture medium)
2. Measure the distance from the tip of the nose to the earlobe with a sampling Cotton Swab and mark it with your fingers. Insert the sampling swab into the nasal cavity in a direction perpendicular to the nose (face). Stay in the nose for 15-30 seconds, rotate gently 3-5 times, and take out the swab.
It is not difficult to see from the method of use that the sampling of both oropharyngeal swabs and nasopharyngeal swabs is technical, difficult and easy to pollute. The quality of the collected samples is directly related to the subsequent detection. If the viral load of the collected samples is low, it is easy to cause false negative and difficult to diagnose. Some sampling swabs have low viral load, inappropriate breakpoints and are not easy for operators to break, which not only limits the sampling efficiency, but also easily leads to false negative nucleic acid detection. Therefore, the sampling swab head should be flocked with synthetic fiber instead of cotton or calcium alginate sponge.
